Comfort Rwanda was established in 1999, five years after the genocide of 1994 in order to help Rwandan Christian partners in their work of healing and support for the survivors of the genocide. The charity partners two indigenous Rwandan organisations Solace Ministries and The Living Church with practical Christian based support.

The activities we help with include:
  • providing cattle and goats
  • funding education for primary, secondary and university students
  • sponsoring orphan families
  • supporting pastors through training, conferences and providing cycles
  • emergency famine relief
  • help in funding trauma healing camps
  • purchase or building of houses
  • distribution of sewing machines, shoes, toothpaste, soap etc.
  • importing of Rwandan handcrafts
  • provision of wells
  • development of integrated community development projects.
