Missions to Rwanda

Comfort Rwanda usually takes four groups out to Rwanda each year. Each group will have different emphases but the primary aims are likely to be:

  1. To show God’s love and compassion to orphans, widows and others in Rwanda through visiting and encouraging them
  2. To view projects, develop relationship, increase understanding of needs, maintain accountability and foster love & friendship
  3. To provide a focus for fundraising and distribute the finance raised according to what the group see as priorities during their visit
  4. To provide special missions for street kids or orphans
  5. To help practically with projects such as house building
  6. To minister through preaching and teaching.

Cost
The amount paid is for an all inclusive cost for flights, accommodation, meals and transport in Rwanda, but not insurance and inoculations, and is usually c. £1100.
A deposit of £150 is due at the time of booking
A payment of around £650 is due three months prior to departure
A final payment is due two weeks before leaving.

Accommodation
During most, if not all of the visit, we will be staying at the Solace Guest House in the capital Kigali. Rooms are either single, double or twin. The Guest House is used to help finance Solace’s activities and is built to a good standard. Meals are tasty and cater for “muzungu” (white man) preferences! Rooms are comfortable and en suite although water can be temperamental.
