Comfort Rwanda is supporting the education of several hundred children. Many of them are orphans and all of them desperately want a good education to help them build a better life. Our partners are eager to expand this project and your gift will help do that.

Given the chance, children in Rwanda are eager to learn. Subsistence farming and poverty beckon for those who cannot go to school. But those who get help to go to school can look forward to qualifications and training which will help them break free from poverty.

Widow's sewing project

Over the border from Rwanda in the Congo terrible atrocities are being carried out, especially on the women. One of our partners is working hard to share the principles learned in Rwanda and bring hope and healing to their lives.

£70 will buy a sewing machine and £20 will provide rent for the premises for one month.

Genocidairres House Building Project.

Genocidaires show their support by re-roofing a widow's home.
Repentant genocidairres are building homes for genocide widows in the Healing and Reconciliation Ministry project. The men are using their own strength to make bricks and build the walls & Comfort Rwanda pays for the roofing – others are being trained on the income generation project to make doors and windows which Comfort Rwanda buys to finish the houses.

£15 will buy a door for a house, £300 will buy the iron sheeting for roofing.

One month support for a street kid

The Street Kids have renamed themselves the Friends of Jesus. The development of a bakery and the baptism of some of the children are among this year’s highlights. but the children are still vulnerable and need ongoing support.

One weeks residential training for pastors

Pastors
Many pastors grew up in refugee camps and have little or no training. The church in Rwanda needs good training and now they have the opportunity to attend structured biblical residential training.

Outreach team visits to outlying communities

Comfort Rwanda fund the Solace outreach team which makes vital visits to outlying communities of survivors. These visits focus on bringing faith, hope, love and healing to the genocide survivors
